Irl Scissors
PRINCIPAL
With over twenty years of experience in Jefferson City and Washington, D.C., Irl is uniquely qualified to represent clients before the Missouri General Assembly, Executive Branch, and the U.S. Congress.
He serves on expert panels, gives media interviews, testifies before House and Senate committees, and is engaged in high level policy negotiations at all levels of government.
Prior to his leadership at Gateway, Irl spent several years as the Missouri affiliate for Integrated Solutions Group, a Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firm.
Irl is a former Policy Advisor to Missouri Governor Bob Holden serving as liaison to the departments of Natural Resources, Conservation, Corrections, and Labor and Industrial Relations.
He spent four years in Washington, D.C., first with the Grocery Manufacturers of America and then the American Stock Exchange. He is a veteran of many political campaigns.
Irl is locally active in the community serving on non-profit boards including Lydia’s House and The Kaufman Fund.
Irl attended Saint Louis University School of Law earning his J.D. in 2000 with a Certificate in Employment Law. He also holds a B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University.
